For those who are not aware, SourceForge is a web-based source code repository. It acts as a centralized location for software developers to control and manage open source software development. The website is operated by SourceForge, Inc. (formerly VA Software) and runs a version of SourceForge Enterprise Edition, forked from the last open-source version available. eMule
At dawn of May 13th 2002 a guy called Merkur was dissatisfied with the original eDonkey2000 client and was convinced he could do better. So he did. He gathered other developers around him, and eMule Project was born. Their aim was to put the client back on track where eDonkey had been famous before, adding tons of new features and a nice GUI. They couldn’t imagine what impact this decision would have…As of today, eMule is one of the biggest and most reliable peer-to-peer file sharing clients around the world. Thanks to it’s open source policy many developers are able to contribute to the project, making the network more efficient with each release.
Azureus

To be able to download a file, you first need to get the associated .torrent file. This file, usually a dozen KB in size, is the “signature” of the much bigger file to be downloaded, and it needs special software to be read properly. Azureus is one of those types of software.

Define “what’s hot”. As a heavy user of FreeBSD and Linux (haven’t used Windows in 3 years), I’ve never heard of any of those Linux packages before except medialib. It can’t be based on usage.
The “hot” is defined on sourceforge based on:
As a Windows user, i can say that the packages described are used a lot from windows users. Don’t know if the same applies on linux users too.
I have a question. I’m looking for an opensource software package that allows an existing document scanner connected to a P.C. to serve as a server host for a Terminal Server. This way session clients can scan a document to a Word or Adobe document and e-mail or save it. Is there any such thing out there that you know of? My luck has been pretty thin of late.
Thanks!
